We are the Oxford University Harry Potter Society, the society for people who are still waiting for their Hogwarts letters.
Membership costs £10 for the academic year, and is available at any of our events. Most events are free to members. Almost all of our events are open to non-members, but it may cost £2 or £3 for entry. Contact a committee member if you have a question about a specific event.
We are a registered society of the University of Oxford, but we welcome members from Oxford Brookes and other HE institutions in the city. If you are interested in becoming a member and this doesn't apply to you, send us an owl.
The highlights of our year are the Sorting Ceremony in Michaelmas Term, our Butterbeer and Banter debate nights and our Triwizard Tournament events throughout the year. We generally have an annual trip to Leavesden Studios in Trinity Term. We also hold film screenings, arts and crafts nights, quizzes, fanfic sessions and much more. For when you're all Pottered-out, we have regular socials, including a weekly pub lunch. We're a friendly bunch, so why not come along and join us?
From this page you can find our Constitution and our Inclusivity Policy. You can find details of our committee on the Wizengamot page. Our website also has a Privacy Policy.
